Hmmm

Well, tonight we met Trenton's first grade teacher, Mrs. Johnson. I have heard RAVE reviews about her and what not, plus Trenton's kindergarten teacher said that she would make sure Trenton got a teacher that would fit him well (so he doe not get bored), but to be honest, I was not that impressed. Her classroom was very tidy and very very organized, a good homey feeling, but she did not give me the warm fuzzies. I guess it is transitioning from bubbly, cuddly, Kindergarten to rough and tough, big kid 1st grade. I am sure she will be a great teacher, it will just take me time to get use to a new teacher with a new personality. Trenton's kindergarten teacher and I got along great, but we were a lot a like too.
Oh yeah and another bummer, none of his friends from last year are in his class this year. He does not seem to mind, but I thought it would be nice. His friend Kailey from church is in his class though, so that will be nice!
I really am happy for Trenton and he is so excited, but I do not want summer to be over. I am going to miss my little man while he is gone. I do however, really really like the school, they have great academic plans and goals and really take interest into each student.
I have signed up to assist every Friday in his classroom though, and I hope to be as involved as possible with his class, we had a blast last year doing so!
So, school shopping is done. A few new shirts, he already has TONS of pants, new socks and under roos, a new back pack and shoes. We got everything really cheap, but his shoes. I always splurge on a good name brand shoe, because Trenton, like his father, goes through shoes like crazy of they are not good quality. So we went to Journey's in the mall, and got him some super cute DC's. That is what we got him last year, and they are still wearable now, but looking a bit worn.
Tomorrow we have a movie night, Saturday is hair cut day, and Sunday is get ready for school day!
