GIRLS CAMP! and Benji-isms and Joe-isms

I am so excited to go on my first ever girls camp adventure!! We leave on Tuesday and come home Friday!! I was nervous at first, but am super excite now and ready to spend some time with some awesome Young Women!
I will be sure to take lots of pictures and document every detail!

Benjamin is quite the Thomas the Train fan and has picked up on the British vernacular. When he is mad or angry he stomps around and proclaims " I am so CROSS!" its hilarious. He is such a ham and milks every bit of attention he gets.

Joe has been spiritually in tune lately and has come up with some wonderful insight.

"We pray before meals because we want to say thank you and so our food can cool off"

"The Holy Ghost is is friendly ghost"

Love those boys~

Value Cupcakes

Here are my cupcakes for our New Beginnings shin dig we had on Sunday. The purple turned darker than I wanted and the gold was more orange.... but you get the idea. I thought they were pretty good!

10th Day

Night 10
Ten lords a leaping would be an awesome gift,
But they got stuck while jumping through a white snowdrift.
We had to be content, you see,
to watch the popcorn fly.
So we've added a sweet topping to it for you to try.

Tonight will be a popcorn tin and caramel corn as well as a movie for the kidos to watch.

Super busy day today, we are off to the Temple this afternoon and then I am off to mutual to do caroling on a straw covered flat trailer with a bunch of teenage boys and girls. Should be fun!

ANOTHER Snow Day!

Okay.. so I admit, the magic of the snow day is wearing off now. Today was rocky and not as fun as we anticipated.
Tomorrow will be better... if there is school! PLUS we are going grocery shopping, which I enjoy!

School is almost done for me (HOORAY!) and Young Women's is in full swing. So sad though... we only had 4 girls show up at mutual last night :( Hope we can get some more coming ! We have SO much to plan and do. Developing a Young Womens group from scratch is interesting, but fun!

That is all for now. Happy Thursday!

Antoher Great Honor

I was sustained today as Young Women Secretary! Wow! I honestly did not see that one coming! Next week we will kick things off and get the ball rolling on our brand new Young Womens group in our new ward!

The weather is so bitter cold today and the wind so horrid, that we only had a very short Sacrament meeting. It was very odd, but needed with how bad the roads are. Yucky!

That is about it for the weekend. It has been quiet and exciting all in one.

Have a happy week all!

Young Women, and Progress Reports

Well, I thought the ward bulletin kept my busy.... boy was I wrong! I LOVE LOVE LOVE teaching in young women. It is great, but they are busy girls!!
Tomorrow is a Relief Society Meeting, Wednesday is mutual (corn maze at CSI.. AWESOME)  Thursday is the Stake auxiliary meeting and Friday I plan on canning about 20 quarts of spaghetti sauce, 2 quarts of pickles, 5 pints of salsa, and 5 pints of pizza sauce. Oh I also have to manage to keep up with school, kidos, house, and prepare my lesson for Sunday. AWESOME. As crazy as it sounds, I love being this busy!

In other news.... Rex is moving on up at Home Depot. He is getting moved into Plumbing, which I guess is a big deal.
I survived mid term and now am enjoying the quietness of the aftermath. I have about 19 hours left of my observation for my Educ 202 class. It has been very interesting and fun!!!
Trenton got his progress report for the school year so far. He is reading at a 4th-5th grade level, reading 159 words per minute, and is in the AP classes for reading and math. I love his school!! They just started the placement classes for reading and math to assist with those falling behind or ahead of the curve, and those in the middle.
Joe is writing like CRAZY. He spelled out Halloween the other day all by himself. I was so proud. He is excited to start Kindergarten next fall.
Ben is doing great, he loves to sing. His favorites right now are, Twinkle Twinkle little Star, ABC's, Skidamarinky Dinky Dink, and I am a Child of God. So cute!! Potty training is right in track. He is sleeping through the night without wetting the bed and is working on going by himself through the day.
 MY BABIES ARE GROWING UP!!!
I think that is all for now.. I will blog again sometime!
