Ahhhh... what a wonderful day! School was canceled and the boys slept in until 9am! It is joyous! We are watching movies, reading books, playing games, taking naps and getting a head start on Thanksgiving break (Rex is off tomorrow and Trenton is not going to school for the half day) We all need a break and some well deserved relaxation time! I know.. bad mommy. In my opinion, everyone needs a day of hooky every once and a while.
I hope everyone is enjoying the day as much as we are!
5 grateful things SNOW! * Good boys * snow shovels * Great traditional Recipes * Lots of Towels
The Bateman Boys build a snow man! I helped some... I think we did pretty good. If you are wondering...... yes those are socks on their hands. The dogs got a hold of their gloves last night... so I improvised. We got a good 4-5 inches here in Jerome over night. It is the perfect snowman snow too!
5 grateful things snow * time with my boys * cocoa * scriptures with the family * missionaries
We awoke to a dry fall morning at 6am. But that soon changed around 7:30 when snow started coming down like crazy!! I wish it would have picked a different day to snow, but I welcome it all the same! I am excited to see snow and start my holiday planning! Trenton is starting a reading buddy program at school today. The 3rd graders read to the 1st graders. I think he will like it. It is every Thursday from now until May! I get to go to a reading workshop tonight and meet up with some of the church ladies. Should be very fun! Joe and I are starting home school pre school today as well. I think he will like it. The old chalk board is making its way out along with all my school decor. Ben is hitting the screamer stage. The 3rd child always finds a way to get noticed! He is talking more and more so hopefully the screaming will stop soon! Rex is a crazy man and is working 16 hours today plus 3 hours travel time. Hooray..... NOT The paycheck will be nice, but I miss him, plus he is really sick right now and needs some rest! Well, that is all for now. I am off to do visiting teaching and hunting for Trenton's glasses. Should be an interesting day!
This branch fell from the neighbors tree, but into our yard. All the sudden snow put so much weight onto the tree that it fell. It reaches from the edge of their yard to the front of ours. I am so so glad that the kids were not playing out side when this happened.
So I suppose this is the start to the harsh winter that everyone is predicting for the year, hooray, maybe we will have lots of snow days!
Our satellite dish is covered with snow, thus blocking transmission to our tv. So we are watching General conference from the computer today.
Conference has been great! I am super excited about the 5 new temples that will be built within the next few years. How grand!!
