Hop 2 It Part II

The always wacky Pease family!

We are frequent visitors to Hop 2 It. It is just so much fun and we get to play with the kids. A group of us went the other night. How many places can a bunch of adults run wild and let their kids run wild and have just as much fun if not more as a 5 year old!!?? Best place ever invented!

This is what parenting looks like. Notice the hands on the hips and concerned looks. A+ gentlemen!

Ahh finally I am in a picture! Thanks Anne for snapping photos of my jousting match with Doug!

Another Post.. Wow I Have Time Today!

This is awesome, I have a few minutes to spare today! Astonishing!

So tonight was Family meeting night. This is our third meeting. This week there was no drawing for a prize due to bad attitudes while being sick... understandable but we were not going to give prizes for bad behavior.
Aside from that, we talked about manners and remembering our pleases and thank yous. The biggest topic was giving. I am getting a sign made or I will make one with our new family motto:

Give Time
Give Thoughts
Give Things
Give Thanks

Giving time to others who need our help, give thoughts to friends and others who need advice and an open ear, give our things that we don't use to those who have less, and most importantly to give thanks to God for all he provides.

I was able to find some places to donate to (besides thrift stores) that give items to needy families right here in Jerome. The boys are very excited and we will start our adventure hopefully tomorrow.

Now I must go get dinner going, but if you all now of any other places that need some helping hands let us know!

Family Meeting Night

Mondays are very busy in our house now. Rex and I decided to instate Family Meeting Night every Monday, after Library Night.
We started off with the list of Daily Duties that are to be done by both big boys. Things such as putting dishes away, putting clothes in hamper, putting their dishes in their cupboard from the dish washer ect. Then We all went through and talked about what bothers us, what we all need to improve on, how we should act and what is expected out of children as well as adults in a functioning family. It was really fun! I also picked up some books out of the children section on caring, kindness, sharing and respect. We read 2 of them and talked about how to act those ways and possess those qualities.
Rex and I talked after and decided that much like at his job, we are going to write down when the boys have done a good deed, listened or followed the rules with out complaining, give them the good deed paper and have them put it in a box. Next Monday we will read all of them, and then have a drawing of all the names in the box, and whoever is drawn gets a special treat.
I am so excited to be doing this. I think it will help a lot and give us a chance on a weekly basis to re group and remember what we should be doing and how we should act.
