Today was a good day. I finally found a great allergy medicine that does not leave me drowsy, so that is a plus!
Rex and I have been walking with some friends every night ( except Sundays) for the past week. It has been nice to get out and exercise. We walk about 2.5 miles each day. I have already lost about 3 pounds in the last week. Very nice!
We start back on homeschooling Monday. At least we are getting back on a stricter schedule and structured day.
Looking forward to a wonderful Sunday!

Odds and Ends
1.- The garden is overwhelming me a bit, but it is doing well and producing a lot!
2. I have to make more pickles toady, and freeze more zucchini and squash muffings.
3.I have a basic outline of what the boys will be learning and doing month by month from September to December.
4. I am getting ready to rearrange the house again, I am going nutty and feeling closed in.
5. Only 2 weeks left of my summer vacation :( bummer.. It should be an easy semester though.
6. Rex wants to get a cat. I say 5 dogs and 3 kids is enough!
7. The first week in October will be very exciting! I cannot wait for it!
8. Joe is starting karate soon and Trenton is starting a performance group. Should be exciting!
9. I really really really cannot wait until fall starts! I am sick of these hot smokey days!
10.Why oh why are laundry and dishes never ending??

Hodge Podge
I have been anti internet lately, so I have slacked on the updates and pictures. I mostly stalk and lurk on Pinterest and play Words With Friends on Facebook and that is about it.
Trenton's 3rd grade concert. He really liked singing traditional songs this year.
Benji, Joe and Rex taking a nice winter's nap.
Our Elf, Chippy, played some pretty neat tricks, but not all were committed to film.
He tied up the boys' shoes and hung them from the dining room light.
A few day earlier, he put their undoes on the ceiling fan. That was a hoot!
Christmas Eve Eve Chippy decorated the living room with lots of lights and garland. It was really beautiful.
Here are the boys in there Christmas eve PJ's. They are wearing them constantly.
There was a big ole' storm last night, but a beautiful sunset before the mayhem commenced.
Christmas was wonderful and quiet. The boys got some awesome goodies and lots of noisy stuff. Rex got me a sewing machine which I am anxious to break in. I have ordered tons of fabric already and I am set to sew.
We are looking forward to 2012... Armageddon or not. :) I think people are going to get a little nutty this year, but I think it will be great.

This That and Then Some
We survived the first week of school. It is going to be a hectic year, but the boys LOVE school. Trenton thinks 3rd grade is just the best thing ever and Joe was born to go to school. Tuesdays will be a bit nuts, but we will make it work. Joe goes to school at 12:10 then the boys get out of school at 3:10 and then Trenton has to go to scouts at 3:30pm and picked up at 4:30. No biggy though.
My school is going fine so far. I am still not sure of myself with my math class but so far so good and I am pulling an A in the class. My first test in next week.. and I am a bit scared.
We had a fun Boise trip last week and got lots of goodies and odds and ends. We have started Christmas shopping and have a good start so far. I hope we can be done by next month.
We finished the last hurdle of potty training Ben and he is full fledged in undies 24/7 no accidents.. full on BIG BOY. It is awesome.
Speaking of Mr. Ben... he turns 3 on Thursday ...crazy I tell you!! He is such a cute, sweet and kind hearted little boy. ((Sigh))
Everything else.. is quiet. Not too much going on. I need to enjoy this quiet time before chaos ensues and I am grumbling.
My garden is still going strong and I have TONS of tomatoes. Tons of zucchini and squash, my cucumbers are sub par and I wish I had more so I could make pickles but.. oh well. My artichoke is coming up nicely and I think I am going to plan a lot more next year. I have 2 five gallon buckets of apples waiting to made into apple sauce :) Pears will be on their way soon and I have a TON of canning to do. I love it though. I am looking into getting a pressure canner so I can can soup, meats and veggies. They are spendy little suckers though.
That aside, I must continue on my journey of educational fulfillment.

Some of My Favorite Words
Do you have some words that just make you happy saying them? I sure do, and I have been making a mental note of them, and thought I better get them down on blog paper before I forget.
1. Serendipity - How could you NOT love this word? or the Movie!
2. Whimsy- just saying it makes me feel care free and light hearted
3. Discombobulated - I giggle each time I say it or hear it.
4.Ubiquitous- just plain fun. I think I like the "q" sound in it.
5. Trepidatious - I think I like the ous words a lot.
6. Sensation- makes me have chills
7.Bequeath- something with the Q again ..... I think
8. Ostentatious- Love the meaning of the word and makes me think of old ladies wearing bright colors and HUGE hats.
9. Tantalizing - Sounds sneaky and manipulative.
10. Manipulative- Just saying it makes you manipulate your tough in varied forms. Love it!
Okay, so enough geekyness for one day. I am sure I will think of more words as I continue me educational journey.
I would love to hear what everyone's favorite words are too, anyone out there in bloggerville??!!
