Ughh

The flu has found the Bateman house, and the mama has gotten it the worst. I have been totally down and out, miserable, can't hardly move sick, since Wednesday. Almost a whole week of immobile mommy. It is horrid. Rex was sick for one day.. of course, Trenton had it for 2 days, Joe for 4 days and Benji is still going strong with the illness along with me. Ugh. I have not been this sick in so long, it is frustrating. I tried to do laundry today and got so winded and out of breath I got dizzy. Rex has been wonderful and picking up the slack for me. Of course this week is super busy.. Youth Auction, Math Test, TONS of homework, Parent Teach Conferences, Meetings at church (hooray for our patriarchal blessing soon!) and midterms. I guess it is never a good time to be sick. I just want to bounce out of this.

Bateman Clan Update

Well, I have tons of pictures to post.... but I need a good free hour to get everything off my memory card in order to post them here.
Life is still in whirl wind mode here and shows no sign of stopping. I have the privilege of getting to t4each a few lessons in Trenton's class coming up soon. I am a little scared but mostly excited.
Rex is off grave yard shift, thankfully! It is nice to have him home all night, I sleep a lot better!
Ben is SO close to being potty trained, and the land of no diapers is within my reach!!

Rex has a big day coming up, on my birthday in fact. He is getting the rest of his teeth pulled on the 22nd, and is getting his dentures. I know, I know, dentures for him already? But he will feel SO much better and it will be easier for him not to have massive dental problems all the time.

I have hit 22lbs lost... wahooo!! It is so much easier this time, and I think it will stay off!!

In the mix of everything else, I have been fighting for the teachers in Idaho. Silly silly laws are being passed here, that devalue our teachers, take away a precious educational experience from our children, and bring in useless items that should be "teaching" our kids in place of real teachers. Anywho, I am on bored to have petitions signed for a recall of our states Superintendent.

That is all for now..... lots more to do! Hopefully pics will be in the near future.

Craziness

So, my talk went well on Sunday, so that weight is off my shoulders and I enjoyed speaking. Life seems to be spinning out of control however. I have so much on my plate right now, it is nuts. I feel like I am playing catch up everyday. I freaked out on everybody tonight.... it was a bit uncalled for, but I think it did some good too. I gave the " I am not your maid " speech, and that simply picking up after yourself helps out the household more than you think. I think I took too many education classes this semester, it is a lot observation, lesson planning and instructing all in one. Too late now though. I am sure it will all work out.I just feel like everything is staring me in the face saying "HURRY UP!"
Laundry is never ending, dishes are never ending, dinner takes too long to prepare...and messes up the kitchen, I need a fairy godmother right about now.
Tomorrow is a new day though, and I am writing my to do lists tonight and prioritizing as we speak. I hope it helps.
Here's to the blessings of there being a tomorrow!

5 grateful thing- I needed to reflect on the good in my life today... A LOT

Young Women, and Progress Reports

Well, I thought the ward bulletin kept my busy.... boy was I wrong! I LOVE LOVE LOVE teaching in young women. It is great, but they are busy girls!!
Tomorrow is a Relief Society Meeting, Wednesday is mutual (corn maze at CSI.. AWESOME)  Thursday is the Stake auxiliary meeting and Friday I plan on canning about 20 quarts of spaghetti sauce, 2 quarts of pickles, 5 pints of salsa, and 5 pints of pizza sauce. Oh I also have to manage to keep up with school, kidos, house, and prepare my lesson for Sunday. AWESOME. As crazy as it sounds, I love being this busy!

In other news.... Rex is moving on up at Home Depot. He is getting moved into Plumbing, which I guess is a big deal.
I survived mid term and now am enjoying the quietness of the aftermath. I have about 19 hours left of my observation for my Educ 202 class. It has been very interesting and fun!!!
Trenton got his progress report for the school year so far. He is reading at a 4th-5th grade level, reading 159 words per minute, and is in the AP classes for reading and math. I love his school!! They just started the placement classes for reading and math to assist with those falling behind or ahead of the curve, and those in the middle.
Joe is writing like CRAZY. He spelled out Halloween the other day all by himself. I was so proud. He is excited to start Kindergarten next fall.
Ben is doing great, he loves to sing. His favorites right now are, Twinkle Twinkle little Star, ABC's, Skidamarinky Dinky Dink, and I am a Child of God. So cute!! Potty training is right in track. He is sleeping through the night without wetting the bed and is working on going by himself through the day.
 MY BABIES ARE GROWING UP!!!
I think that is all for now.. I will blog again sometime!
