A Lesson That a Child Should Never Have to Learn

Yesterday, I had to break some devastating news to Trenton. An extended family of  some friends in our ward had been missing since last Wednesday, a mother and 2 children. After tireless efforts to find them, it all ended yesterday when their car was found in the canal. The little boy, age 7, was one of Trenton's best friends. Zak was the sweetest boy, and so was his sister and mother. Trenton was heartbroken, and it was so hard for us to tell him that his friend was gone. Zak was the first friend Trenton made in Kindergarten, and they have been super close ever since. Trenton requested to talk with the Bishop tonight, so we are taking him at 8pm, and hope that will help some. I never wanted to see such dismay on my sweet boys face. Children have no sense of  mortality at this age, and for them to be hit with such reality is very difficult.
Our prayers are with the family, and we hope they find peace soon.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friends. Poor Trenton! Good luck talking to the bishop tonight.
I also like the image you posted. We have that painting in our house, but it doesn't have the sun shining like that on it. It's pretty.

Even at that young of an age the knowledge of the gospel can be such a big help! I lost a grandmother young and the knowledge of the gospel was the only thing pulling me through. It is the hardest thing to loose someone close to you! The Bishop is such a strong man called of God, I know he will help! Hope it goes well for you guys!
If you guys need anything let me know!
