:: Side Note Mommy Rant::
Trenton went to the office at noon the same day, and asked to call home because he was hurting so bad. (this after 2 teachers told him to call home) and the secretary told him "it's not going to do you any good to go home, you might as well stay here." Trenton asked a 2nd time begging .. and it was a flat NO that he could not call home. Mama Bear unleashed this morning when I called in to tell them he would not be at school. I

So, we took Trenton to the doctor today, and the poor kid was poked, pushed, bent, squished and folded every which way. The doc was thinking it was pneumonia at first, but his lungs sounded fine and clear, so next up was x-rays. After 10 pictures of his chest in every stance imaginable, we went back to the room and Trenton laid down and started hyperventilating ( I handled this very well, by the way) and we had to calm him down and prop him up. The doctor's best guess.... a pulled muscle. Since he has not been standing properly since this mysterious injury and letting his right side sag, his right lung is partially collapsed from his stance and short quick breaths from the pain. The doctor said this all to me so casually too! I freaked out, and was expecting to hear that he needed surgery and oxygen and so on. Apparently it is in the beginning phases and is not the serious, but he needs major rest and lots of pain meds to keep him relaxed and standing properly. We have a follow up appointment Monday,and I am also taking him to the chiropractor Monday as well. FUN DAY!!!
